Τον Απρίλιο, η Opera παρουσίασε ενα demo του Opera Mini browser για το Android SDK. Έδειχνε να παίζει πολύ καλά, αλλά δεν ήταν ολοκληρωμένο.
Μέχρι στιγμής μπορούσαμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τον ενσωματωμένο Android browser.

Τώρα οι χρήστες έχουν ακόμα μια επιλογή να διαλέξουν για να σερφάρουν στο internet. O Opera Mini 4.2 παρουσιάστηκε στο Android Market!
Τα bugs φυσικά δεν λείπουν, αλλά θα διορθωθούν με το πέρασμα του χρόνου.

Ο browser έχει διαθέσιμες επιλογές για skins και την επιλογή “speed dial” ώστε να μην χρειάζεται ανοίγετε τα bookmarks κάθε φορά. Ο Opera Mini είναι μοναδικός επειδή αντί να κατεβάζει την σελίδα και μετά να την κάνει render, η σελίδα γίνεται render στους servers της Opera και μετά μεταφέρονται στον browser, κάτι που μειώνει αισθητά τον χρόνο φόρτωσης.
