Ένα γιγάντιο άγαλμα του Gingerbread, “μασκότ” της πολυαναμενόμενης έκδοσης του Android, μόλις τοποθετήθηκε δίπλα στα αντίστοιχα αγάλματα των προηγούμενων εκδόσεων που βρίσκονται στο
Googleplex, τα κεντρικά γραφεία της Google.
Δεν είναι ακριβώς αυτό που περιμέναμε για τη βδομάδα αυτή, αφού οργίαζαν οι φήμες για κυκλοφορία του νέου SDK, παρολαυτά είναι μια αρχή!
Να σημειωθεί πως την τελευταία φορά που είχαμε τοποθέτηση αγάλματος (βλ. Froyo), το SDK ανακοινώθηκε μια βδομάδα μετά!

0 commentsΔεν είναι το κινητό σου μέσα στην λίστα αναβάθμισης ? Kαι τι έγινε, μην ανησυχείς. Ο Cyanogen χθες ανακοίνωσε ότι αυτός και η ομάδα του θα δώσει Froyo στο g1 (dream) καθώς και στο magic. Όσοι αναβάθμισαν σε Cyanogenmod 5.0.7 test 7 θα είδαν ότι το κινητό τρέχει χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα την εκδοσή Eclair. Η συσκευή που θα φορέσει πρώτη cyanogenmod 6 είναι το nexus και μετά θα ακολουθήσουν droid,g1 και magic.

A whole bunch of us have been working hard to get Android 2.1 (CM 5.0.7) running perfect on the HTC Dream and Magic phones and I think it’s nearly ready to go. This release is almost exactly the same as the Nexus One and Droid versions of CM now, minus a few of the heavier apps.
This was an incredible community effort and I hope everyone likes the result. Breathing new life into old hardware is always awesome.
I expect that a stable release of 5.0.7 should be ready for all devices in the next few days.
And after that.. Google has confirmed that Android 2.2 (FroYo) will be available for ION phones, so it’s guaranteed that CM-6 will continue to support the G1 also when the source code hits AOSP.

2 commentsΧθες ξεκίνησε η αναβάθμιση του Nexus σε Froyo και δεν είναι λίγοι αυτοί που περιμένουν να δουν την δική τους συσκευή να τρέχει την νέα έκδοση του Android.
Οι συσκευές που θα πάρουν την αναβάθμιση είναι:
- HTC Desire
- HTC Evo
- HTC Incredible
- My touch slide
Ποιο συγκεκριμένα η δήλωση της HTC :
” …if your phone was launched this year, we will most likely offer an upgrade for it to the Froyo version. This includes popular models like the Desire and Droid Incredible as well as hotly anticipated phones like the Evo 4G, MyTouch slide and upcoming models. We will announce a full list of phones and dates once we are closer to launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates in the second half of this year but can’t be more specific yet. ”
